Italian agent Furio Valcareggi says Genoa want to create a big auction for Chelsea, Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur target Krzysztof Piatek when they are ready to sell him.
The Poland international striker has created a storm in his first few months in Italy, scoring nine goals in his first seven Serie A appearances, while netting four in a Coppa Italia game.
Genoa paid a sum of only €4m to sign him in the summer and while his asking price has reportedly touched €50m, the club have been insistent that they won’t sell him in January.
Chelsea, Liverpool and Tottenham have been linked with a move for him and the bigwigs of Italy, Juventus, Roma and Napoli, are also interested in snaring him away from Genoa.
Valcareggi has claimed that Napoli have already made a move to sign Piatek, but believe Genoa could wait for more clubs to join the race as they want an auction for his services.
The agent told Italian outlet Tutto Mercato: “Napoli have already moved for Piatek.
“Genoa will want a wild auction.
"[President Enrico] Preziosi only wants money."
Asked if Piatek has the ability to play for Juventus or Napoli, Valcareggi said: “Yes, as he is now one of the best strikers in Europe.”
