Juventus have opened talks with Portuguese super-agent Jorge Mendes over the possibility of signing Braga’s teenage attacker Trincao, who has also been on Chelsea’s radar.
A product of the Braga academy, the 18-year-old has been catching the eye of scouts across Europe with his performances for the club’s reserve side.
Trincao has managed to pique the interest of several clubs and it has been reported that Chelsea are keeping close tabs on his development in Portugal.
However, Chelsea might have to make their move early as it has been claimed that Juventus have made concrete efforts to snare Trincao away from Braga in the coming months.
According to Italian daily Gazzetta dello Sport, Mendes, the player’s agent, met Juventus on Monday and the club discussed the possibility of taking the youngster to Turin in the future.
The relationship between Mendes and Juventus has strengthened since Cristiano Ronaldo’s arrival and the club are keen to leverage that in order to sign Trincao.
Juventus are hopeful that the early talks with the Portuguese super-agent will give them the advantage in the race to sign the youngster.
Trincao has a contract until 2023 with Braga.
