The 23-year-old striker has struggled to live up to last season’s heights at Parkhead and witnessed Celtic suffer a meltdown at the same time.

He has been keen to leave Celtic since last summer but the Scottish champions’ £35m plus asking price put off many of his suitors.

With Celtic struggling and highly unlikely to win their tenth league title in a row, the Frenchman is ready to leave Parkhead.

But it has been claimed that the move will not happen in January and he is likely to pack his bags at Celtic in the summer.

The striker is likely to stay for the rest of the season and seek a move away from Celtic in the next transfer window.

He is one of the most bankable stars in the Celtic squad, but his poor form this season means Celtic are unlikely to get anywhere near the £35m they quoted for him last summer.

A number of Premier League clubs are believed to be keeping tabs on Edouard and could consider signing him at the end of the season.

He will enter the final year of his contract at Celtic in the summer and is signed up with the player agency that moved Kieran Tierney to Arsenal.
