Raphinha has been the talk of the town among the Leeds faithful since arriving in the summer, but he is yet to experience the atmosphere at Elland Road when it is packed to the rafters.

The winger has walked into the hearts of Leeds fans with his bag of tricks, eye for goal and blistering pace, all qualities that have also aided him in evolving into an integral part of Marcelo Bielsa’s attacking line.

Leeds hitman Bamford believes the fans will like Raphinha even more when they actually see him playing in the flesh as he is someone capable of exciting the crowd.

Bamford waxed lyrical about how Raphinha is the type of player that can spark life into a flat game, raising the atmosphere with just on thing that he does on the field.

“Yes, I know [it is such a shame that fans are yet to see Raphinha at Elland Road]”, Bamford told the Official Leeds United Podcast.

“He is the type of player as well that, I know Leeds fans will pay to come and watch, no matter who is playing, but he is the kind of player that people will pay just to go see him because he does things that excite the crowd.

“It might be a flat game and he is the kind of player that just all of a sudden raises the atmosphere with one thing he does.

“I think Leeds fans will love him when they see him in the flesh.

“I am just interested to see what song they will give him; I don’t know if they have created one.”

Bamford will be hoping Leeds get the best version of Raphinha on Monday when they travel to the capital to take on West Ham United in their upcoming Premier League clash.
