Last season Liverpool scored 68 league goals, a much lower tally than in their Premier League-winning previous campaign when they found the back of the net 85 times.
While Salah increased his goal tally last season from the campaign prior, Firmino scored the same number, while Mane saw a drastic reduction as he scored seven fewer times.
Aldridge is concerned about the attacking trio, explaining that while they were fully on song in their title-winning campaign, the past season is a cause of worry.
He hopes, however, that with the return of fans to stadiums a new spark will be re-ignited and the attacking trio will find their form once again.
“My concern is at the other end of the field, with Mo Salah, Sadio Mane and Roberto Firmino misfiring for large parts of last season”, Aldridge wrote in his Sunday World column.
“All three have two years left on their Liverpool contracts and might not all stay, so there is a bit of uncertainly at the top end of the pitch.
“That trio were unstoppable as Liverpool became European, world, then English champions over the course of two glorious seasons.
“Yet, they appeared to lose some of their spark last season, so [Jurgen] Klopp will be hoping the return of fans will change the mood around Anfield on matchdays and inspire the front three to fire again.”
Salah has in his time at Anfield scored over 100 goals, while Mane is nearing the century mark.
The trio will be hoping to reach the levels of their league-winning campaign again next season.
