Begovic arrived at Everton in the summer of 2021 but with Jordan Pickford the undisputed No. 1 at Goodison Park, opportunities for him have been limited.

The Bosnia and Herzegovina star has three appearances this season, including one in the Premier League when he managed to keep a clean sheet.

Begovic’s contract with Everton is up in the summer but a way was presented for him to leave the Toffees even earlier.

Saudi Arabian giants Al-Nassr presented an offer to Everton for the backup goalkeeper but it was rejected by the Toffees.

It is expected that the Saudi Pro League side will return with an improved second offer in the coming days, before the window shuts down.

Everton face not only Begovic’s contract running out in the summer but also Andy Lonergan’s, on top of which Pickford will have only a year remaining on his by then.

Begovic has spent the majority of his senior career playing in England, but pending on Everton could go to Saudi Arabia this window.
