Everton snapped up Dyche as their new manager towards the end of last month and were hopeful of adding a couple of new faces to the squad as well before the end of the winter window.

However, the Merseyside club failed to bring in any new players despite obvious deficiencies in the squad and were even rejected by Andre Ayew earlier this week.

Everton are 19th in the league table and Keys admitted that he does not see Dyche making an impact despite the fact that he rates him as a manager.

The veteran broadcaster stressed that it is already too late for anyone to change Everton’s fate this season and believes that the Burnley side that got relegated last year were better than this Toffees team.

Keys took to Twitter and wrote: “Love Dychey and hope it ends well at Everton but I fear it’s already too late.

“He went down with arguably a better side last season.”

Dyche will be looking to have a big impact at Everton in a short space of time in order to build confidence at Goodison Park.
