Tottenham Hotspur manager Postecoglou is due to pit his wits against Jurgen Klopp in the Premier League on Saturday.

The Australian will come up against the side he supported as a boy, but admits he could have gone with Manchester United as they were the other option.

Postecoglou picked Liverpool however and told a press conference: “It was the 70s so you could have gone one or two ways as they only used to show Liverpool or Man Utd back then.

“I had a couple of mates went the United way and I went with Liverpool to make it interesting.

“Look I used to love Happy Days back then but I don’t have posters of The Fonz on my wall now.”

Postecoglou impressed with his work at Scottish giants Celtic and got the call to take over at Tottenham in the summer.

The Australian has made a bright start to life as Spurs boss and it remains to be seen if Liverpool will provide him with his first bump in the road.
