Brentford and Crystal Palace both recently watched Genoa’s Danish midfielder Morten Frendrup in action.

Frendrup, 22, helped Genoa win promotion from Serie B last season and has instantly looked at home amid the choppier waters of Serie A this term.

The Dane has already provided four assists from his spot in the Genoa engine room and clubs are showing interest.

Frendrup has been linked with Premier League sides and, according to Italian daily Tuttosport (via Calciomercato.com), Brentford and Crystal Palace recently scouted him.

The Premier League pair are doing their homework on the Danish midfielder.

Genoa are firmly opposed to letting Frendrup leave in the winter transfer window and it is thought a transfer in January is unlikely.

Brentford and Crystal Palace however could test Genoa’s stance, or look towards a summer bid.

The midfielder, who played for Brondby before joining Genoa, is under contract at the Italian side until the summer of 2026.
