West Ham United consider Ajax attacker Steven Bergwijn to be a top target for this month’s transfer window, according to Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano.

Hammers boss David Moyes would like an extra option in the final third and his eyes have been drawn to the Netherlands.

Bergwijn, who has experience of the Premier League gained at Tottenham Hotspur, is a player that Moyes rates.

And West Ham regard the Eredivisie attacker as one of their top targets for this month’s window.

However, any swoop to bring Bergwijn back to the Premier League will depend on the Hammers’ budget after they offload players.

West Ham could also face competition for the Dutchman.

Bergwijn has other Premier League sides keen on him, while he is also attracting interest from the Saudi Pro League.

Ajax are expected to agree to cash in on the attacker if they are presented with a good proposal for him this month.

Bergwijn has found the back of the net seven times in 13 Eredivisie outings this term.
