Napoli are still discussing the structure of a deal with Nottingham Forest for the signature of midfielder Orel Mangala this month.

Mangala has made 18 appearances for Forest in the Premier League and has been a key part of the squad.

However, new manager Nuno Espirito Santo is prepared to offload him to raise funds and he has been heavily linked with a move to Italy.

Juventus and Napoli have been offered a chance to sign him and it is the Azzurri now making a push to do so.

Talks are ongoing between Nottingham Forest and Napoli over a deal and the two sides are not far apart but according to Italian daily Il Mattino (via Tutto Mercato), the structure of the deal has not been agreed upon yet.

The Serie A champions are pushing to sign Mangala as the club are looking for midfield reinforcements.

Nottingham Forest would rather sell him but Napoli are likely to favour an initial loan with a view to buying him if he can impress in Italy.

The two clubs are in conversations as Mangala edges closer to leaving the City Ground in the ongoing transfer window.
