Rangers have rejected a proposal from Galatasaray for left-back Ridvan Yilmaz, according to Sky Sports.

Yilmaz has struggled to make a big impact at Rangers since joining from Besiktas in 2022 and the Gers are in the market for a left-back this month.

The Turkish defender could leave and is wanted by Italian side Hellas Verona, who are eyeing a loan deal.

Galatasaray also want Yilmaz and would like to take him back to Turkey.

The Istanbul giants though have seen Rangers turn down an offer to sign Yilmaz on loan with an option to then sign him permanently.

The option proposed by Galatasaray is around £3.4m.

Rangers do not feel the deal is good business and have rejected Galatasaray’s proposal.

The Turkish club could still come back in for the 22-year-old defender, whose stock remains high in Turkey despite his struggles in Glasgow at Rangers.
