Ajax striker Brian Brobbey has commented on talk that Manchester United want to take him to Old Trafford and indicated a move this month is off the table.
Red Devils boss Erik ten Hag has been linked with wanting a striker this month and is an admirer of Brobbey.
However, the hitman looks set to stay in Amsterdam as he insists that he will not be going anywhere this month, despite being fully aware of the rumours.
Brobbey, who admits he has not heard anything from Manchester United this month, mused about the possibility of the Red Devils coming for him in the summer instead.
“I don’t know anything to be honest”, he said via Dutch outlet Voetbal Primeur when asked about the Manchester United link.
“I’ve seen it too, but I’m staying in Amsterdam.
“Whether they may come back in the summer? Haha, who knows”, Brobbey added.
Brobbey helped himself to a brace in the Eredivisie on Sunday when Ajax crushed RKC Waalwijk 4-1 at home.
He now has a new team-mate in the shape of former Liverpool captain Jordan Henderson, who has joined the Dutch giants from Al Ettifaq.
