Daniel Munoz will fly into London today to complete the formalities of a transfer to Crystal Palace, who have reached an agreement with Genk.

The 27-year-old defender has been pushing for the move and went on strike earlier this week to force through the transfer.

The negotiations between the two clubs have not been smooth and Palace were reluctant to pay over the odds for the right-back.

However, it emerged on Thursday that the two clubs were on the verge of reaching an agreement over a fee.

According to the Belgian daily Het Laatste Nieuws, Palace have a deal in principle agreed with Genk for Munoz’s signature.

The Eagles have agreed to pay a fee of €10m, including add-ons, and Genk have also inserted a sell-on clause.

With a deal in place between the two clubs, the defender will be flying to London later today to complete the transfer.

He will undergo a medical and sign a long-term contract with the south London club soon.
