Nottingham Forest have negotiated an option to buy clause in the region of €15m to €20m with Borussia Dortmund for Gio Reyna.
The Tricky Trees are in a relegation struggle and Tricky Trees boss Nuno Espirito Santo is desperate to bring in some reinforcements in this window.
Reyna is a player Nuno believes will be able to improve his Nottingham Forest squad.
The Tricky Trees are keen on bringing the 21-year-old to City Ground in the window and they faced stiff competition from Spanish giants Sevilla.
It has been suggested that Nottingham Forest have agreed to take Reyna on loan from Dortmund.
And according to German broadcaster Sky Deutschland, the deal for Reyna will include an opinion to buy in the region of €15m to €20m at the end of the loan deal.
The midfielder is set to arrive in Nottingham to complete his medical with the Premier League outfit.
And if all goes well, then Nottingham Forest fans might be able to see Reyna making his debut against Bournemouth at the weekend.
