Manchester United linked Giorgio Scalvini has stated that he is happy with Atalanta and stressed that he wants to improve by working hard every day.

The 20-year-old defender came through the academy set-up of Italian outfit Atalanta and has already racked up 83 appearances for the senior team.

His performances have caught the eye of Premier League giants Manchester United, who want to strengthen their defence in the summer.

The Italian outfit recently agreed to a deal with Scalvini to renew his contract until the end of June 2028 and the centre-back stated that he is happy to be part of Atalanta, who he is extremely attached to.

The Manchester United target added that he only thinks about Atalanta and Scalvini is aiming to improve by working hard every day.

When asked about his contract renewal with Atalanta, Scalvini told Italian daily Tuttosport (via Tutto Mercato): “I am grateful to the club, I am very attached to the Atalanta family.

“I was a child and now I am becoming a man in this shirt.

“I am very happy to be here; my only thought is Atalanta and I only want to improve by working every day.”

After Scalvini’s contract renewal with Atalanta, Manchester United might have to dig deep in their pockets in the summer if they want to sign him.
