Fortuna Dusseldorf midfielder Ao Tanaka is ‘keen on the move’ to Elland Road amidst Leeds United’s push to sign him.

Daniel Farke is looking to add a few more names to his Leeds squad before the transfer slams shut an hour before midnight on Friday.

Signing another central midfielder is one of the priorities of the Leeds boss and several names are being considered.

The Whites have turned their attention towards trying to get their hands on Dusseldorf midfielder Tanaka after Bournemouth’s Philip Billing rejected them.

The Japan international is aware of the interest and is ‘keen to make the move’ to Elland Road in the next 48 hours, according to Belgian journalist Sacha Tavolieri.

The clubs are in negotiations over agreeing on a deal for the midfielder to join Leeds this summer.

He is in the final year of his contract and Dusseldorf are expected to accept a suitable offer for him.

Leeds are hopeful that an agreement will be in place for them to sign Tanaka in the next two days.
