Rangers boss Philippe Clement has admitted that he is looking to spend some money on the right players if they become available in the winter transfer window.

The Glasgow giants had a big summer of spending but are prepared to back the new manager in January in order to help him rejig a squad that have struggled for consistency this season.

Moore conceded that it is hard to judge what positions Rangers need to strengthen given the fact no one knows which players could get moved on in the winter transfer window.

However, the former Rangers star stressed that the squad definitely need another striker if they want to push and compete for the league title in the second half of the season.

Moore said on the Go Radio Football Show: “For me, personally, I’d love to see another goalscorer come in.

“To win the title and compete, you need many goalscorers and fit ones at that.

“Unless you know the outgoings, it’s hard to decide who comes in but definitely another striker in terms of a title push.”

It remains to be seen whether Clement manages to unearth a forward of the required quality in January.
