Bayern Munich are set to hold talks with the representatives of Liverpool linked Leroy Sane over a new deal following their Champions League tie against Arsenal.

Sane will have a year left on his contract in the summer and has been linked with a move back to the Premier League.

Liverpool are believed to be interested in signing the former Manchester City winger and there is a distinct possibility that he could leave.

The German champions are open to offering him a new contract, but for the moment there is no agreement over fresh terms between the two parties.

According to German magazine Kicker (via Fussball Transfers), talks are scheduled to take place between Bayern Munich and his representatives in the coming days.

Bayern Munich will play Arsenal on Wednesday night in the second leg of their Champions League quarter-final tie.

Following the game, the two sides will hold concrete talks over a new deal for the German winger.

Informal conversations have already taken place but the two sides are now keen to hold more substantive discussions.

Sane laid on an assist in Bayern Munich’s 2-2 draw against Arsenal in the first leg at the Emirates last week.

However, the German has not scored a goal for the Bavarians since October.

Liverpool may be watching developments closely ahead of a summer of change at Anfield.
