Bayern Munich sporting director Max Eberl has revealed that Liverpool-linked winger Leroy Sane is keen to know who will be the coach next season before deciding his future.

Sane’s form has dropped over the course of the season and his current contract with Bayern Munich will enter its final year in the summer.

There are suggestions that he could leave at the end of the season with Liverpool believed to be interested in taking him back to the Premier League.

The German champions are scheduled to start holding talks over a potential new contract with Sane from April onwards.

However, Eberl claimed that the player is keen to know who he could be working under next season in terms of the new coach.

The Bavarians are in the market for a new coach as Thomas Tuchel will leave at the end of the ongoing campaign.

Eberl told German magazine Kicker (via Fussball Transfers): “Leroy also wants to know who will be the coach next season.”

Xabi Alonso is Bayern Munich’s top target but he is also the number one choice for Liverpool who are looking for Jurgen Klopp’s successor.
