Champions League football is set to be a key factor in Tottenham Hotspur target Albert Gudmundsson’s choice of a new club in the summer.

The Genoa attacker is almost certain to leave the Italian club when the transfer window opens in the coming months.

The Iceland international is wanted in the Premier League where Tottenham have been pushing to take him to England in the summer.

Serie A giants Inter and Juventus also have their eyes on him and Gudmundsson is set to consider several factors before taking a call on his future.

According to Turin-based daily Tuttosport (via Calciomercato.com), Champions League football is a key consideration for the Icelander.

The forward wants to join a club who will be playing Champions League football next season.

He is keen to play in Europe’s elite club competition and also wants to fight for trophies going forward.

Gudmundsson also wants a considerable rise to his current salary, which is around €1.5m per year as per his contract at Genoa.

Genoa have been tipped to boost his price tag this summer.
