Atalanta centre-back Caleb Okoli is scheduled to undergo a medical on Saturday morning ahead of joining Leicester City this summer.

Steve Cooper is pushing to bring in reinforcements ahead of Leicester’s return to the Premier League next season.

The new Leicester boss wants more options in defence and the club are working on a deal to sign Okoli from Atalanta this summer.

An agreement is in place between the two clubs for the centre-back to move to the King Power Stadium in the coming days.

According to Italian outlet Tutto Mercato, Leicester have already booked a medical for the defender ahead of completing the move.

Okoli will be leaving for England soon and will arrive in Leicester in the coming hours ahead of securing his move to the newly promoted Premier League side.

He is scheduled to undergo a medical with Leicester on Saturday morning and will eventually sign a five-year contract with the club.

Leicester have agreed to pay a fee of €15m, including add-ons, to Atalanta for the signature of the defender this summer.
