Zaniolo’s future at Roma is under the scanner as Tottenham are pushing to land the winger in the ongoing transfer window.

Fabio Paratici has been in talks with his Roma counterparts as Spurs weigh up signing the Italy international.

Roma are open to doing business and selling the winger if they receive a big money offer on their table.

But according to Italian daily Il Messaggero, Mourinho is not in favour of selling the player in the ongoing transfer window.

The Roma boss has overcome his difficulties with Zaniolo and a relationship now exists between the player and the coach.

The winger has been one of Roma’s best players in pre-season and Mourinho wants to build his next team with Zaniolo as one of the creative pillars.

He is pushing to keep him at the Stadio Olimpico but it would be a losing battle if Roma receive a big offer.

Only preliminary talks have taken place between Roma and Tottenham and no active negotiations are taking place.

The Serie A giants are ready to sell if they receive an offer in the region of €50m and €60m despite Mourinho’s reluctance to lose Zaniolo.
