Andersen, 27, joined the Eagles in 2021 and has established himself as a defensive mainstay at Selhurst Park.

His imposing presence in the backline drew interest from Brentford amid the Bees’ plans to bolster their defensive ranks.

Thomas Frank’s side, who are eyeing maintaining their top-half stay in the Premier League standings next season, enquired about the Danish defender and valued him at £20m.

But it is now suggested Crystal Palace told Brentford forthright that Andersen was not for sale and if he was, then the Bees would have to offer a more substantial price than their anticipated value for the centre-back.

The Selhurst Park outfit are said to be reluctant to let their defensive asset go this summer amid their plans to improve upon last season’s performances.

And it is unclear whether Andersen is keen on leaving the Eagles in the ongoing transfer window, where the Denmark international still three years left on his contract with the London side.

Now that Andersen is claimed to be not for sale this summer, it remains to be seen whom Brentford will turn their attention in a bid to fortify their defensive options in the ongoing transfer window.
