A defensive midfielder by trade, Veerman scored seven goals and provided ten assists in the Eredivisie in the just-concluded season.

His performances have piqued the interest of several clubs ahead of the summer transfer window, with Rangers believed to be keen on taking him to Scotland.

Veerman has also been linked with a move to most of the major Dutch clubs, including PSV Eindhoven.

But according to Dutch daily the Leeuwarder Courant, Heerenveen are still waiting for the first offer to arrive on their table.

It has been claimed that the Dutch club are yet to receive a concrete bid for Veerman despite the rampant speculation over his departure this summer.

Heerenveen have set an asking price of €10m for the midfielder but are likely to accept an offer of around €6m to €7m.

It has also been suggested that PSV are unlikely to make a move for him this summer due to his asking price.

Veerman has also been attracting interest from Italy, with Atalanta believed to be keen on him.
