Ipswich got back to winning ways at the weekend, defeating Portsmouth, and are second in the League One table.

Cambridge on the other hand have lost three of their last four league games and go into the clash tonight at Portman Road as the underdogs.

Bonner is aware that his team will find it a challenge to compete against Ipswich, but it is a challenge he is approaching with excitement and he also recalled last season when his team went to Portman Road and got a victory.

“You know you’re in for a tough night, but it’s really hard not to be excited about it, because what a game to go and play in”, Bonner was quoted as saying by Cambridgeshire Live ahead of the game against Ipswich.

“I think the players loved it last year when they went there, we’ll have 2000 away fans there, it’ll be a brilliant atmosphere, so bring it on, let’s see what we can do.”

Bonner set out the plan that his team will have, as they seek to find the weaknesses in Ipswich’s game and try to exploit them.

“We have to try and find some weaknesses that we can exploit, and do them really well, but we’ll have to be incredibly well organised in order to handle what they’ve got”, Bonner added.

“It’ll be a tough night if they play at their very best and they find their top tempo, but our aim is to try and disrupt that as much as we can, and to try and carry our own threat, and see if we can get some control of it.”

Only one point separates Ipswich from Sheffield Wednesday in third and the Blues will be looking to not slip up against the U’s and keep their momentum going.
