One of Cardiff City’s stars has revealed he is now finally starting to feel like a Cardiff player and has always known he can impact games at Championship level.

Cardiff have sparked to life under caretaker boss Omer Riza, stringing together a four-game unbeaten run in the Championship and winning three of those encounters.

Portsmouth were beaten 2-0 by the Bluebirds on Tuesday evening, a result which followed hot on the heels of thumping Plymouth Argyle 5-0.

All three of Cardiff’s wins have come at home, but next up they face a trip to promotion contenders West Brom.

Riza will again want midfielder David Turnbull, who joined from Celtic in the January transfer window earlier this year, to be on form.

The Scottish midfielder is pleased with his performances for Cardiff and revealed he now finally feels like a Bluebirds player.

He stressed he has long been certain he can play at Championship level and make an impact.

“The last few games, I feel like a Cardiff player now”, Turnbull told a press conference.

“That’s the reason I came here, I was wanting to get as many games as I can.

“I know I can play at this level.

“I know I can impact games and I think that is what you are starting to see.

“Just hope for many more to come and I am enjoying every minute.”

Turnbull scooped up two Scottish Premiership titles, two Scottish Cups and two Scottish League Cups during his time at Celtic.
