Following an initial hiccup, the Londoners have found their rhythm and are currently placed at the top of the Premier League with 21 points from ten games.

Hopes are high that Jose Mourinho can lead Tottenham to a piece of silverware, something which eluded the club under the leadership of Mauricio Pochettino, despite Spurs going close on several occasions.

Davies feels that the current Tottenham side are the best placed to win something of any he has been part of since being at the club.

“Yeah, I think so”, Davies said at a press conference while responding to a question on Spurs being in the best place to win something since he has been at the club.

“It feels like it’s been a long time coming to try to win something but everyone at this club is determined to.

“It’s not easy to manage a big squad with the number of good players we’ve got here but everybody is pulling in the same direction, they’re players on the bench and players some weeks who aren’t even in the squad.

“But you can see when they get their chance to play themselves, it’s 100 per cent effort and 100 per cent desire and that’s fully across the team.

“It comes from a desire to win something.”

Tottenham are increasingly being floated as title challengers in the current campaign, while Mourinho also has Spurs alive in the Europa League and the EFL Cup, with the FA Cup still to come.
