The Magpies are having an impressive season under Howe and they are currently in a good position to land a European spot for next season.

As Newcastle go into the business end of the season, Howe’s side will play seven games in the month of April, beginning with welcoming Manchester United to St. James’ Park on Sunday.

Howe hailed the upcoming month as massive for Newcastle’s ongoing campaign and stated that April will ultimately decide what the team have managed to achieve this season.

The Magpies boss also stated that their focus is on preparing for their next game against Manchester United and stressed that they will analyse their EFL Cup defeat against Erik ten Hag’s men to prepare for the game.

“It’s a massive month”, Howe said at a press conference.

“This will really define what we achieve this season.

“We have Manchester United first, we need to focus on that, analyse that cup-final defeat and learn from that.

“We’ve tried to take the emotion out of it and look to improve.”

Newcastle will travel to London to face West Ham United on Wednesday after their game with Manchester United.
