The Clarets have been active in the transfer window this summer to strengthen their side and stay up in the Premier League.

Burnley have brought a host of new faces to Turf Moor in the ongoing window, but Vincent Kompany still wants to further strengthen his squad.

Kompany wants to add more firepower to his forward line and according to Italian daily Tuttosport (via Fiorentina.it), he is interested in bringing in Kouame.

The Burnley boss previously worked with Kouame during his time as Anderlecht manager.

Kouame scored 13 times while laying on ten assists in the 2021/22 season under Kompany.

However, Burnley are not the only suitors in the market for the Fiorentina star, as Nantes and Lorient are also interested in him.

Fiorentina have so far rejected two bids from Nantes and it remains to be seen whether Burnley will make a move for the forward in the ongoing window.
