The Midlands club are under pressure to sell Matheus Nunes, who has stopped training and wants to join Manchester City before Friday’s transfer deadline.

The Premier League champions are yet to meet Wolves’ asking price but there are suggestions that they will finally get a deal done for the player in the coming days.

Wolves have their eyes on Bellegarde at Strasbourg and there are suggestions that they have already put in a bid.

However, according to French sports daily L’Equipe (print edition), Strasbourg are yet to receive a concrete offer for the 25-year-old midfielder.

The French club are aware of Wolves’ interest in the midfielder and are expecting a bid for him soon.

But for the moment, they do not have a concrete bid on their table from Wolves at this stage of the window.

Strasbourg would have sold him for somewhere around €10m earlier in the transfer window.

However, they are now likely to demand a bit more money given Wolves’ desperation.
