Lyon are looking to snap up Arnaut Danjuma on loan in the January transfer window, but would need Everton to agree to end the loan and Villarreal to also sign off on the switch.

Les Gones are determined to add to their options on the flanks in the approaching transfer window and are considering several options.

Almeria’s Largie Ramazani and West Ham’s Said Benrahma are two players on the recruitment team’s radar.

Danjuma though is also being tracked and, according to French outlet Foot Mercato, Lyon would like to sign him on loan.

The Ligue 1 outfit would be open to a loan with an option to buy, if the option is not above €15m, but would also be willing to sanction a straight loan.

Danjuma though is on the books at Everton, who he signed for on loan in the summer, adding a further layer of complexity.

While Sean Dyche has handed Danjuma little in the way of starts and regularly prefers other options, Everton would need to be convinced to terminate the loan.

Dyche has already stressed he is working with a small squad and has played down the chance of departures in the January window.

If Everton do agree, Lyon will also need to reach an understanding with the winger’s parent club, Villarreal.

Danjuma though is claimed to be keen to move as he wants to make sure he is playing regular football before Euro 2024.
