Clubs are currently a long way off meeting Leeds United’s valuation of defender Charlie Cresswell, according to journalist Alan Nixon.
Cresswell had been hoping to be in the mix for regular game time at Elland Road this season following Leeds’ relegation to the Championship and his successful loan stint at Millwall last term.
Leeds boss Daniel Farke has preferred other options though and the Whites are prepared to sell Cresswell for in the region of £4m this month.
He has interest from several Championship sides, including Blackburn Rovers, but none of the interested parties have yet to get close to Cresswell’s valuation.
While it has been suggested that ultimately Leeds could accept an offer underneath the £4m figure, none of the bids have tempted them so far.
Cresswell will hope his suitors step up in the remainder of the transfer window.
The defender is keen to make sure he is playing regular football and is well down the pecking order under Farke at Leeds.
Cresswell, 21, is a product of Leeds’ youth set-up and his stint at Millwall was his first away from Elland Road.
