Sunderland are willing to pay top wages to make sure they win the race to sign Kieffer Moore on loan, but there remains no decision taken by Bournemouth on the striker, according to journalist Alan Nixon.

The Black Cats sold Ross Stewart to Southampton in the summer transfer window and some feel the striker has not been replaced.

Sunderland’s attackers have struggled to step up to score the goals needed and the club want to sign a striker this month.

They are keen on Bournemouth striker Moore, who is attracting attention from a host of sides in the Championship.

The Cherries are yet to decide what they want to do with Moore, but could sanction a loan.

And if Moore does move on loan then Sunderland are prepared to pay top wages to make sure he heads to the north east.

Moore has made eleven appearances for Bournemouth across all competitions so far this season, scoring twice.

Sunderland sit just outside the playoff spots in the Championship table and have scored 37 goals in 27 games, the lowest number amongst the top eleven.
