Manchester United and Chelsea-linked Thomas Frank has insisted that he has a perfect life at Brentford but conceded that he is always open to different possibilities.

Frank has earned plaudits for turning Brentford into a stable Premier League over the last few years with his adept handling of the team.

The Dane’s work has turned heads at other big clubs and he is a name clubs such as Manchester United and Chelsea are considering.

He is a manager Manchester United are looking at if they decide to sack Erik ten Hag following the FA Cup final this weekend.

Frank insisted that he is happy with life at Brentford and feels he probably has the perfect job in football but admitted that he would not shy away from a different possibility.

“I will probably be on that touchline on August 17”, he told The Athletic.

“I think that will happen. I’m happy here. I’ve said it many times and I mean it. It’s close to the perfect football life.

“I’m not in any rush or searching to do something else but I also think I’ve learned in life I’m open for what can happen.”

The Brentford boss also stressed that he is also aware that it might not be a smooth ride if he decides to move on from the London club in the near future.

“I can see myself being here for a long period.

“Can I stay here for seven more years? I don’t know and that’s not that I don’t love Brentford, it’s just: do I want to try something different?

“But I’m very aware the grass is not greener in the garden next door even if it looks like it. Then you get in there, take a closer look and see there are a lot of weeds in the grass.”

Brentford would likely not welcome an approach for Frank, but if Chelsea or Manchester United firm up their interest it could be tempting for the Bees boss.
