Former Germany boss Jurgen Klinsmann and former Brazil coach Dunga are on Algeria’s five-man shortlist as the North African side search for a new coach.

Algeria had remained tight-lipped over just which names were on their list, with the Desert Foxes keen to pull a rabbit out of the hat.

But the presence of two of the biggest names in international coaching are indeed included.

"They are part of a list of five candidates to succeed Benchikha Abdelhak", announced the country’s news agency APS.

Also believed to be on the list is former France coach Raymond Domenech, who is thought to have indicated that he would accept the post if it were offered.

With qualification for the 2014 World Cup very much on the agenda, Algeria want to appoint a fresh face, but also a man who is proven at international level, as their new coach.
