Lille’s in-demand forward Eden Hazard has admitted that a move to Spanish giants Barcelona would be an honour.

The young Belgian has been mentioned in connection with the Catalan side, along with almost every other team that counts in European football.

It is though attention from Barcelona which has caused Hazard to speak out, even if all remains quiet on the transfer front for the Lille man and the northern France side would dearly love the player to spearhead their Champions League challenge next season.

"FC Barcelona? Would I get a place in this team? It is an honour to see my name in connection with the best team in the world", Hazard told El Mundo Deportivo.

"But I have nothing else to say, except that it is nice to hear such news."

Barcelona are currently concentrating all their efforts on snapping up Chilean forward Alexis Sanchez from Udinese, but could switch their attention to Hazard if the move fails to materialise.
