Manchester City manager Roberto Mancini has revealed that the club have agreed a deal to sign Partizan Belgrade’s impressive defender Stefan Savic – but there is yet no movement on their bid for Arsenal man Samir Nasri.

20-year-old Savic is highly rated and tipped as a future star. And indeed, the Montenegro international has attracted attention from City throughout the last year.

The English side have not sat on their hands and have swooped quickly to ensure Eastlands is where Savic ends up.

Questioned about the status of Savic’s and Nasri’s proposed deals, Mancini answered: "I would say a deal for Savic has been done, but Nasri? No, not yet."

City are still hopeful a deal can be agreed with Arsenal for Nasri, with the Frenchman’s countryman and Emirates team-mate Gael Clichy also expected to move to Eastlands.
