Doni’s agent has confirmed that his client should be a Liverpool player inside the next 36 hours.
The Roma goalkeeper is closing on a move to Anfield after agreement was found over his personal terms and the length of deal he will sign with the Reds.
"We will know something more definitive within the next 36 hours", said Ovido Colucci.
"There is an agreement in principle between the two clubs and the player.
"We just have to arrange the final details with the Giallorossi.
"Doni will sign a two-year contract with Liverpool."
The Reds also expect to sign midfielder Charlie Adam from Blackpool tomorrow and could present the pair to the media by the end of the week.
