Scottish giants Rangers are closing on Romanian centre back Dorin Goian.
Reports from Italy confirmed that the Glasgow-based club had sent an official bid of €500,000 to Palermo for Goian – and it now looks as if that has been deemed acceptable by the Serie A side.
Rangers have prepared a three-year deal for the 30-year-old.
The Romanian centre back joined Palermo in 2009 after a four-year spell with giants Steaua Bucharest.
Goian made 22 appearances for Palermo last season and has also featured for the Romanian national side 37 times.
