Manchester City manager Roberto Mancini has hailed new striker Sergio Aguero as being like legendary Brazilian Romario.

Aguero made his City debut last night, coming off the bench against Swansea at Eastlands with Mancini’s men leading 1-0.

The striker’s impact was immediate as he scored twice and set up another goal, helping City to run out 4-0 winners.

And Mancini instantly saw something of former Barcelona striker Romario in his new charge.

"Sergio is a photocopy of Romario, they are the same player", said the Italian, before going on to explain that Aguero was not even 100% yet.

"It was the perfect start. It was important to start this season very well and it was important to score the goals and score with the strikers.

"I know Aguero very well, but I don’t think he is 100%.

"He played in the Copa America and he needs to do more in training."
