Inter are working hard to take Uruguayan striker Diego Forlan to Italy.

Forlan is seen as the perfect replacement for Samuel Eto’o, who was sold to Russian side Anzhi Makhachkala earlier this week.

But while reaching agreement over a fee with Atletico Madrid does not look difficult, meeting Forlan’s personal terms does.

The former Manchester United forward wants €4.5M per year, but Inter’s current offer is worth just €3M plus a number of bonuses depending upon the Nerazzurri’s performances.

And now Inter are working overtime to try and come to an arrangement with the striker.

Forlan would move to Inter and is believed to be excited by the opportunity to succeed Eto’o.

However, much negotiation lies ahead to conclude a deal.
