West Ham United forward Marko Arnautovic has offered an update on the status of his injury ahead of the Hammers’ meeting with Watford on Saturday.

Arnautovic, who suffered a hamstring injury during the win over Cardiff City earlier this month, has missed the last two games for West Ham in the Premier League.

The Austrian is still undergoing rehabilitation and is expected to not be in action at least until the turn of the year with games against Watford, Southampton and Burnley coming up in quick succession.

Despite the absence of their talismanic forward in recent weeks, West Ham have enjoyed a stellar run of form and could make it five wins in a row if they beat Watford at the London Stadium.

Arnautovic offered an update on his return date by revealing that he is feeling better now and added he is set to undergo another scan on Sunday to get a final assessment.

“I’m feeling good. I’m nearly there”, Arnautovic told the club’s official website.

“I have another scan on Sunday to see how it’s going.

“We are looking forward towards next week.

"I’m not sure for Southampton or for Burnley, but, I’m almost there.”

Arnautovic, who joined the Hammers in the summer of 2017, has netted five goals and registered two assists from 13 appearances in the Premier League.
