Dalot has had more game time at Manchester United this season under Ralf Rangnick and has upstaged Aaron Wan-Bissaka as the first-choice right-back.

The Portuguese’s performances have led to suggestions that he is likely to have a more prominent role going forward under a new manager.

But he also remains a wanted player in Italy where he impressed during his loan spell at AC Milan last season.

And according to Italian daily La Nazione, Fiorentina are plotting to get their hands on the 22-year-old in the summer.

Alvaro Odriozola has been the first-choice right-back at Fiorentina this season but his loan deal expires at the end of the season.

Fiorentina are still not aware whether Real Madrid are open to letting him stay on at the club for longer than his current loan deal.

The Serie A giants would prefer to keep him but are looking at Dalot as a potential replacement for the Spaniard.

Manchester United are unlikely to take a decision on Dalot’s future until a new manager gets a look at him during pre-season.
