Michael Carrick has been pushing for reinforcements before the transfer window slams shut on Friday night.

The Middlesbrough boss wants more options in his defence and has been keen to bring in one more left-back.

Boro have been in talks to sign Cambuur left-back Bangura and it has been claimed that a deal is in place to sign him.

According to Dutch broadcaster Omrop Fryslan, the defender has given his nod of approval to a move to Middlesbrough.

The left-back has agreed a deal to move to Middlesbrough and is keen to complete the transfer soon.

Middlesbrough are now trying to finalise the terms of the agreement that would see Bangura move to Teesside in the coming hours.

The deal is expected to go through in time for him to be available to face Queens Park Rangers on Saturday.
