Hellas Verona are closing in on agreeing on a deal with Norwich City for the signature of Adam Idah on an initial loan with an option to buy, according to the Daily Telegraph.

The 22-year-old striker has been an important part of the Norwich squad, scoring six times in 26 Championship appearances.

He has more than four years left on his contract at Norwich but the player is closing in on leaving the club.

Idah has been a big target for Serie A side Hellas Verona, who are pushing to sign him before Thursday’s transfer deadline.

And it has been claimed that the Italian side are close to working out a deal with Norwich for Idah’s switch.

Norwich and Hellas Verona are finalising the terms of an agreement that would see the striker move to Italy on loan.

The Serie A side will also have an option to make the move permanent at the end of the season.

Hellas Verona are hoping to wrap up the deal and complete the formalities of the transfer before the window closes on Thursday night.
