Blackburn Rovers have started talks again to try to sign Sheffield Wednesday target Duncan McGuire from MLS outfit Orlando City, according to Sky Sports News.

Sheffield Wednesday and Blackburn Rovers are both keen on landing Orlando City forward McGuire in the ongoing window.

Blackburn managed to agree to a deal with the MLS outfit and McGuire was on a plane to head to complete the move to Ewood Park.

However, late last night, Blackburn’s move for the centre forward collapsed and McGuire is in the UK and waiting to see what deal can happen.

Sheffield Wednesday continue to want McGuire, but now Blackburn are back in the mix.

Blackburn have resumed talks as they try to put a deal in place once again.

McGuire is in the UK, staying in a hotel with the hope of sorting his future out before the transfer deadline.

Now it remains to be seen whether Sheffield Wednesday will step up to hijack Blackburn Rovers’ move for McGuire.
