Lille winger Eden Hazard has expressed his delight at being linked with a move to European Champions Barcelona.

The Belgian, who was instrumental in Lille’s capturing of last season’s Ligue 1 title, is in demand, with the creme de la creme of European football linked with a bid for his services.

And while Lille would dearly love to keep hold of the 20-year-old, there is an acceptance that resisting bids from Europe’s elite, including Barcelona, will prove difficult.

For Hazard himself meanwhile, interest from the Camp Nou is delightful.

"Barcelona? Would I be able to claim a place in that team?", pondered Hazard to El Mundo Deportivo.

"It is an honour to be associated with the best team in the world.

"All I have to say is, it’s great news."

The bidding for Hazard is soon to be stepped up with Arsenal, Bayern Munich, Inter, Real Madrid and Liverpool also joining Barcelona in holding an interest in the Belgian.
