Russian moneybags Anzhi Makhachkala have been linked with a move for Juventus’ striker Amauri.

The 31-year-old spent the second half of last season on loan at Parma and is surplus to requirements at Juventus, meaning a move to Russia could be a real possibility.

According to Gazzetta dello Sport, Juventus have become aware of interest from Anzhi Makhachkala, who believe the Brazilian-born forward could enjoy an Indian summer in the Russian Premier League.

However, the side which boasts the likes of Roberto Carlos, Balazs Dzsudzsak, Mbark Boussoufa and Diego Tardelli, look likely to face opposition for Amauri’s signature.

Also tracking the former Palermo striker are United Arab Emirates team Al Ain, who could compete financially with Anzhi and could prove a more attractive proposition for a player used to warmer climbs.
