Manchester City have shipped out Brazilian striker Jo, letting the 24-year-old head to Internacional.

Jo struggled to establish himself at Eastlands since arriving from CSKA Moscow for £18M in 2008.

The hitman spent time on loan at City’s English Premier League rivals Everton and also with Istanbul giants Galatasaray, but neither club moved to make the arrangement permanent.

Internacional won the Club World Cup in 2006, beating Spanish giants Barcelona to be crowned World Champions.

For Jo the switch is an opportunity to enjoy regular first team football and rediscover the form which had made him one of world football’s hottest properties.
